Hey everyone, welcome back! Whether you‘re reading this on the newsletter or tuning in via Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or another platform, I appreciate you being here.
Unfortunately, today’s update will be brief—I was supposed to record two new videos covering:
A recap of the films I’ve watched so far from my Afro-American Celebration Watchlist for February 2025. Some have been sleepers, others have been solid, and a few have been absolutely stellar.
A complete roundup of my planned watchlist for the rest of the month.
However, I won’t be able to post as planned because I’m feeling under the weather, and my voice is completely shot.
Why My Voice is Out & My Commitment to Quitting
This has been an issue for nearly ten years now, brought on by stress, singing, drinking, and (unfortunately) on-and-off smoking since 2023. I’ve been working on quitting for good, and thankfully, I’m close—but whenever I get sick, my voice takes a serious hit. Right now, it likely won’t be back to normal until sometime next week.
What to Expect in the Meantime
Even though I can’t record, I’ll still try to post smaller updates, including:
A new playlist (stay tuned!)
An update on my poetry collection
The first installment of the Remembering Ourselves series—A deep dive into the 64 Arts and Sciences of the Kama Sutra, exploring how these disciplines help us live more creative, fulfilling lives. I introduced this concept a few weeks ago, and now we’ll start breaking it down with practical ways to apply them in daily life.
A Quick Favor: Let’s Keep the Conversation Going
If you’ve been enjoying these posts, I’d love for you to leave a comment—even just a single sentence—or hit the like button. It helps spark conversation and lets others know that this content resonates. Engagement also ensures that more readers can discover these discussions, making this space even more valuable for all of us.
But whether you comment or not, I’ll continue sharing my work until my last breath.
Thanks so much for being here. I appreciate you all, and I’ll be back soon—hopefully with a voice that’s ready to go.
Till next time, take care!
