This was an awesome and fair breakdown of shanghai noon! This captivates what I remembered from it and why I enjoyed it.

I recall watching this film years ago and having a great time, once with family and another time by myself and I could still appreciate those qualities highlighted here!

"The Princess and the Frog from the frog’s perspective."

Thank you! To some degree, that’s the beauty of FILMS, it keeps things fair. It simply asks the questions: Did the filmmakers achieve what that set out to achieve, and who is this film for?

Aside from that, I really enjoyed this one! I think I’ve only seen it twice before, and (possibly) enjoyed Shanghai Knights a bit more. I’ll review that one next week. But Noon was funny, and had everything you enjoy from Chan and Wilson, especially around that time.

Oof, that Princess and the Frog angle. It doesn’t hit you until it hits you! And then your like, “Why didn’t I see it before?!” 🤦🏻‍♂️😆
